Every yoga mat should be cleaned and cared for regularly. But not every mat needs the same care. Our care guide will tell you how to easily care for your mat, which material particularly likes which type of cleaning and what you should avoid.

First of all: The easiest way to care for your mat is with a mat spray from the relevant manufacturer that is specifically tailored to the material in question. Here you will find sprays for PVC and natural rubber mats that are easy to use and that will always keep your mat hygienically clean.

If you are looking for a yoga mat for travelling, you should carefully consider the weight of the mat, your need for comfort and its robustness. But which mat meets your requirements? We will help you find your perfect travel mat.

What to do if the new mat smells unpleasant?

Natural rubber mats in particular often have a strong rubber smell at first, which can be perceived as unpleasant. However, the smell is of purely natural origin and even indicates that no chemical odor binders were used in the production of the mat. If you are particularly sensitive to smells, a mat made of PVC or a material mix may be a better fit for you.
